gnome-platform-devel software package provides GNOME development platform, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install gnome-platform-devel
gnome-platform-devel is installed in your system.
Make ensure the gnome-platform-devel package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep gnome-platform-devel *
You will get with gnome-platform-devel package name, version, architecture and description in a table
